We are working on behalf of the industry on a variety of issues right now, including driver vaccination prioritization, the City of Winnipeg Master Transportation Plan (we are active participants in this progressive process as the City of Winnipeg develops a truck route strategy. We are also in talks with the City of Winnipeg to address a phased construction approach for Inkster Industrial Park), and ESDC scheduling exemptions and other issues. We have also raised the question of authorized versus qualified drivers. Members may remember this issue from late last year, concerning technicians moving trucks on private property from the yard into/out of the shop without the class of license for the equipment they are moving; please check your latest MTA newsletter for advise on how to address this issue.
